Giambattista Bodoni was a well known type designer, typographer, publisher and printer in Parma, Italy. Today he is mostly known for creating serif type faces that had very thin strokes in some parts and large strokes in other parts. The type face "Bodoni" is around today and gives a good idea of exactly what his looked like. He had a very distinct style in his type faces he created and many of them are still used today in magazines or storefronts.
