Like the name of the chapter suggests, it discusses the
anatomy of typography. The chapter begins with a recap of the previous chapter
about the history of typography, including how letters would have only a few
curves due to being written in stone. It then goes on with describing the
various ways to make type based on grids like the x-height and the capline. Coming into this class, I knew there was going to be names for multiple parts of the text, but didn't realize that type would include as many definition as it does. The chapter continues on in more detail how different types are arranged, aligned and proportioned.
