Chapter 2 is an integral part to anyone interested in typography. While most people may be familiar with certain fonts, this chapter breaks down every font style you have seen. It distinguishes certain aspects of each individual letter from the x-height to the stress. Before reading this, while I knew a few things about typefaces and how they were presented, I had no idea the kind of detail that goes into them. One thing I found particularly interesting was the ruling of contrast. I always noticed the contrast on different typefaces but never realized the classification behind the definition (high, medium, low, none).
